How strong is your password?

Type a password to test it. 🔒 The check happens only in your browser — the password is never stored or sent anywhere.

—

Roughly how long a powerful computer would take to crack it:

—
  • At least 12 characters (16+ is better)
  • Upper-case and lower-case letters
  • Numbers
  • Symbols (! ? # - _ …)
  • Not a common password
  • No predictable sequences (123, abc, qwerty, aaa)
  • No years or dates (e.g. 2010, 1999)

Has this password been leaked?

Optional: check it against the Have I Been Pwned database. Only the first 5 characters of a hash code (SHA-1) are sent — never the password itself.

🎲 Create a secure passphrase

Random words joined with hyphens — long, strong and easy to remember.

—
Golden rules
  • Length matters more than symbols.
  • Never use the same password in two places.
  • Use a password manager (e.g. Bitwarden, 1Password, or the one built into your phone or browser).
  • Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) wherever you can.
